Karen is doing well.

She should be moved out of the ICU and down to a regular floor this afternoon. The doctor said that she could go home tomorrow if she is up to it but it may be Tuesday. We'll see.

As for talking to her and the kids, that has gone well. I'll fill you in on how that happened later. Karen now knows that she has cancer and that the doctor had to leave some of the tumor in. She's teary but I am glad she's not trying to "be strong".

We'll be talking to the oncologist sometime in the next few days about what kind of radiation and Chemo regimin she'll need to undergo.

We will be able to do the treatment near our home. As the doctor says, they call the game plan from UCSF and it doesn't matter who the quarterback is.

Thank you all again for your prayers. Please continue to pray. The road ahead will be long and hard.

Dave

So happy to hear that she is doing well and bearing up under the new reality. We corporately prayed for you all in worship this morning and our prayer continue.
I hope Phil has given you our love. Corrie Schrader (Knight) also sends her love and prayers.

Thanks so much for keeping us abreast so we can know how best to pray. You are never far from our thoughts and prayers. We are ever so grateful for our Mediator who goes before us and the Holy Spirit who makes intercession for us with groans too deep for words. Know that you have an army of saints praying with and for you in this battle. We love you, Karen, Dave, and kids!

Thanks for keeping everyone up to date with the latest stuff on Karen. Knowledge is power and with all the confusion over how this could happen at all, knowing where everyone is is very comforting.

Taryn and I are very keen on coming to see Karen as soon as possible, so I hope you'll let us know when would be a good time. We don't want to impose if it's not appropriate, but for all the influence Karen has had on Taryn (and me for that matter), we would be extremely grateful to spend a little time with her in her time of need.

Need someone to watch her for a while while you shop? Someone to read to her? Nothing is too simple or menial, it would just be nice to find a way to help and spend time with Karen.

Tell her we love her and our thoughts are with her.

We really DO love you (lots and lots)...and I am so grateful to see the prayers and outpouring....Berkeley OPC prayed for you, today (as all the local OPCs) and I will continue to remind them to uphold all the very lovely Greggs in prayer....

We really do love you and will keep you ever before the Throne.

Believe I miss you guys--different ways but hopefully the same destination in Christ...
Peace & God's mercy on you.

love always,
Barb Lewis

Dave,

I have been desperate to get to my computer several times a day to get any updates that you may have posted on Karen's condition. I feel so far away and appreciate you keeping all of us in touch during such a difficult time. I know that the Lord is with you all and know that we are praying every minute for her. Please give her my love.
God bless you and yours,
Julie (Webster) Richardson

"O God, hear the cries of Your people as they call on Your Name, Come pour out Your mercy, as we pray..." This is the song of petition Karen taught us and whenever I hear it I hear her voice. We're lifting our voices in prayer for your family... for His mercy and blessings on Karen and you all.

Our love to you ~ Cliff and Andrea

David and Karen,
Thank you for keeping us posted on what is going on. Even though we are new to your life we want you to know that the Davis family is lifting you up in prayer and want to physically help in any way we can. ~Eric and Heather Davis
