I want to thank you all again for your love and concern. I just want to let everyone who is interested in coming out to visit know that you may not be able to visit with her if you do. I want to make sure that she gets her sleep. That is really the best thing she can do to get better at this point.

If you want to come and show your support, pray with us and for Karen that is fine for now. We'll all have to play it by ear.

Keep in mind that you can respond to the blog and I will eventually get her the message.

You can also send emails to welovekaren@hotmail.com.

Thanks everyone.

Good morning! Loved being at your side yesterday, KP. You are a sweet soul permeating God's good grace.

When I arrived home Jack had pulled a beautiful photo of you out of one of my albums. We put it on the fridge and the kids decided that every time they walk by it they are going to pray for Aunt Karen.

Out of the mouths of babes- we will all be praying as we see your sweet face.

Love you,
KK for all of us

Wanda and I were discussing this just yesterday, fearing that visits might get overwhelming.

I appreciate it and do think it's best that you are honest about it - I totally understand that rest is paramount at this point.

We have had some family prayer meetings over this situation as I'm sure many many have. I sort of regret telling the littler ones about it because it may be scary - but I did so when I was quite shocked.

In any event I have not brought it up to them again, but it has not made a difference! Little Elisabeth as well as Anna remember you daily in their prayers and it blesses me to see even the little fellers burdened for others.

Hope she is able to go home soon and so continue to make your needs known.

Your sister in Christ,

Monika

Karen and Dave, we thank the Lord for your friendship. It was good to see David and the kids yesterday. You are blessed with such a lovely family. I was much encouraged by the outpouring of love from the extended family and friends network that the Lord in His grace has given you. I join in the prayers of the saints for your well being. Our heavenly Father looks on you with kindness. All things work for good for His people.

Much Love,
Ralph and Ai

Hello David and Karen,

We simply want you to know that we are among those who are praying consistently and earnestly for God's grace to be evident through your extreme circumstances. We're so grateful for this privilege!

Thank you for creating this site so we can receive regular updates and adjust our praying accordingly.

Please know we care and send our love - to you and to your parents.

Dear Karen & David,
You know that our hearts and our prayers are with you constantly. We love you both so much and we want you to know that we are always at your disposal for taxi service or anything that you might need, day or night.
2 Corinthians 1: 2-3 says: Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of compassion and the God of all comfort, who comforts us in all our troubles, so that we can comfort those in any trouble with the comfort we ourselves have received from God.
God's comfort to you,
Dave & Kathy

David, How thankful I am that Karen has you to protect, lead, and adore her! God has given you such strength and faithfulness throughout this past week; you are an incredible testimony for Him!

K.P., It was sooo good to see you yesterday. You beautiful smile filled my heart with joy! I praise God for your steadfast faith.

I came yesterday hoping in some small way to minister to you and instead came away blessed and encouraged by the two of you and your incredible family. You're are all in our prayers, thoughts, and speech continually-

Karen and Dave,

We pray that Karen will continue to heal, that she will be able to rest, and that God's grace will be sufficient for all in the days ahead.

Karen's gift of music ministered to Karen and I in so many ways as we watched her grow from a child to a gifted lady, wife, and mother while we were actively involved at First Presbyterian Church, Hayward.

This song has been playing in my heart since we learned about Karen's hospitalization.

He giveth more grace when the burdens grow greater,
He sendeth more strength when the labors increase;

To added affliction He addeth His mercies, To multiplied trials His multiplied peace.

When we have exhausted our store of endurance, When our strength has failed ere the day is half done, When we reach the end of our hoarded resources Our Father’s full giving is only begun.

His love has no limit, His grace has no measure, His power no boundary known unto men; For out of His infinite riches in Jesus
He giveth and giveth and giveth again.
